It is a place where man can only wonder at the marvel of Nature and imbibe a sense of divinity and solemnity in all his five senses. But great artists of his kind are known to be using their studios their homes, or albeit converting their homes into their studios. He also designed a distinctive flag that came to be known as the Banner of Peace. It consisted of three red spheres surrounded by a red circle on a white field. It symbolises religion, art and science encompassed by the circle of culture or as the past, present and future achievements of humanity guarded within the circle of eternity. The tourists have to make do with the scanty glimpses they can get through the glass windows of the interiors of the residential portion once occupied by the Roerichs. The living unit at the first floor is a square structure with a balcony all around. The balcony gets the shape of an open lounge in front of the openings of major rooms. Be it the drawing room, the study, the office of Devika Rani or their living room, the units are adorned with paintings and the rare pieces of art collected from all over the world through a varied life span. The living unit gives the impression of<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>spaciousness with a tasteful sobriety and elegance that marks the interior decor of the house. Down in the garage, one can also see the old 1930 model of the  Dodge car that had a horsepower of 27.34.
